Junior Camogie Munster Semi Final v St Joseph’s Secondary School

KCS Junior camogie players had their first outing of the new year on January 9th to take on St Joseph’s Secondary School of Tulla Co. Clare. The two sides met on a bitter cold afternoon in Charleville to see who would earn a place in the Munster Final.

A fast paced game took place the minute the ball was thrown in with both teams fighting hard for every ball to become available. The opening fifteen minutes were close as both teams took their opportunity to pick off scores. It was a goal for Kinsale the gave them an advantageous lead. KCS were comfortably ahead of their opponents going into half time.

The second half began the same way the first half did. St Joseph’s really put it up to the Kinsale girls but unfortunately the damage had already been done. KCS continued to pick off their scores as opportunities for goals and points presented themselves. It was a very passionate game as neither team gave in until the final whistle.

Kinsale will now play St Flannan’s College of Ennis in bid for a Munster camogie title on Wednesday 17th of January at 7pm in Mallow GAA!
