TY Students Hit the Slopes in Trentino
On Saturday, 8th February, 60 Transition Year students set off on an exciting adventure to Trentino, Italy, for their much-anticipated ski trip. For many, this was a completely new experience, and the excitement was evident from the moment we arrived.
Our first day was all about getting prepared—we were fitted for skis and headed straight to ski school. With most students (and even some teachers!) never having skied before, there were plenty of wobbly starts and laughter as we found our feet on the slopes. But by the end of the week, confidence had grown, and everyone was gliding down the mountains with ease.
Midweek, we swapped our skis for snowshoes and took in the stunning Alpine scenery in a completely different way. Trekking through the snow-covered landscape was a highlight for many, offering breathtaking views and a chance to appreciate the beauty of Trentino beyond the slopes.
Evenings were just as lively as the days. After hours of skiing, we gathered at the hotel for karaoke and dancing, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
To round off an unforgettable trip, our final day was spent exploring the beautiful city of Verona. We visited the famous Juliet’s House, where students left their own messages of love, and took in the incredible history of the Roman Arena.
From thrilling ski lessons to cultural discoveries, this trip had it all. A huge thank you to the teachers who made it possible and to our students for embracing every moment with enthusiasm.
