Past Pupil Paul Wills Wins Prestigious Research Award
We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our past pupil, Paul Wills, who was recently awarded Best Student Talk at the RADICAL symposium (January 2025). Paul, now a PhD student in the Laser Spectroscopy Group at University College Cork, presented his groundbreaking research on a new spectroscopic instrument for airborne monitoring of key atmospheric gases.
As part of his PhD, Paul is working with international researchers in the CARIBIC consortium, using a Lufthansa Airbus 350-900 as a flying laboratory to study atmospheric chemistry on a global scale. His work is contributing to a better understanding of air pollution and climate change.
We are incredibly proud of Paul and wish him continued success in his research!
