The KCS Bank Team proudly represented their school at the Bank of Ireland Money Smarts Challenge held at the RDS in Dublin on Tuesday, 18th April 2023. The event was hosted by Online Influencer James Patrice and featured various guest speakers who spoke on Financial Wellbeing and team building.

Ten of Kinsale Community School’s Bank Team students, Gabrielle O'Sullivan, Carly Helbrow, Lucy Kelleher, Aisling Rath, Abby Ward, Colum Morgan, Seán Dempsey, Eoghan Deasy, and Amy Casey, participated in the challenge, showcasing their skills and expertise in finance and business management. These students were chosen from a group of highly motivated and talented individuals who have been working hard as part of the school bank team.

The Bank of Ireland Money Smarts Challenge was an opportunity for young students to learn about managing finances, setting financial goals, and taking control of their financial futures. The challenge also served as a platform for participants to network and build relationships with other like-minded individuals who are passionate about finance and business.

Eimear Murphy and Máire Fleming, teachers at KCS, accompanied the students to the event and were thrilled with the performance of their students. "We are incredibly proud of our students who represented KCS with poise and excellence at the Bank of Ireland Money Smarts Challenge. They demonstrated a strong understanding of financial management and teamwork and exhibited excellent communication skills."

The Bank of Ireland Money Smarts Challenge was an opportunity for students to learn and grow, and KCS’s Bank Team students certainly seized that opportunity, showcasing their talents and making our school proud.
