U15 Boys Football Success
On Monday 26th September, the U15 boys footballers travelled to Kanturk to play the second round of their Munster Championship, against Tarbert Comprehensive School.
Kinsale started very well with an opening point by Ger Murphy and great defensive efforts from Darragh Winters and David Forde, cutting out any early chances for Tarbert. Excellent defending from Cillian Fitzgerald and David McCarthy helped prevent any goal chance from Tarbert in the first half.
Great runs from Oscar Ryan up the pitch resulted in a well taken goal by Oliver Buckley. After the first half the score was 1-1 to 0-3.
Kinsale started off very strong in the second half with a great point from Josh Lehane. Kinsale dominated after this with Oliver Buckley and Josh Lehane adding to the score line. Important frees from John Quinn and Ollie Buckley were crucial in the game. Robert Egan, Donnchadh Walsh and Craig Kelly made an outstanding impact from the bench. It was a great win for the KCS boys.
