IWISH Conference Cork City Hall

Our transition year ladies had a fantastic trip to Cork City Hall on Friday last to attend the IWISH Conference which ‘inspires, encourages and motivates young female students to pursue careers in STEM’ (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

The event featured a conference with keynote speakers and engaging talks by women and men from all backgrounds in STEM along with a number of workshops and interactive exhibitions. Our students thoroughly enjoyed interacting with displays and various businesses, colleges and inspirational young people in the exhibition hall. We were thrilled to meet our very own past pupil Jennifer McCarthy. Many thanks to Ms Hay and Ms Brosnan for accompanying the students.
