Senior Hurling Cork B Quarter Final Success

On Monday the 16th January 2023, our Senior Hurlers played their Cork B quarter final against St Brogans College Bandon in Ballinspittle.

The conditions were tough but that didn’t bother Kinsale as they got the dream start when Dan O Donovan burst past the Brogans defence and rocketed the ball into the back of the net. Kinsale used this to their advantage and went on to score 4 points in a row from Dan O Donavan and Noah Ryan. Brogan’s forwards worked hard and their free taker punished Kinsale with 3 frees in a row. Kinsale finished the half strongly and went into half time 1-9 to 5 points up.

Early in the 2nd half, Brogans forwards started well and fired over points to reduce the lead to 4. Kris O Callaghan cleaned the world of ball from centre back which led to Dan scoring 2 more goals which got his total tally at the end of the day to 3-10. Final result Kinsale 3-16 Brogans 1-13.
