News Flash! Kinsale TY Vex Team Clinches Energy Award at VEX World Championships in Dallas, USA

In a momentous achievement, the Kinsale TY Vex Team has been honoured with the prestigious Energy Award at the VEX World Championships held in Dallas, USA. This accolade signifies not only their dedication and hard work but also their innovative approach to robotics. The entire Kinsale Community School community celebrates this outstanding triumph.

The Energy Award is a testament to the team's boundless enthusiasm, passion, and vigor displayed throughout the competition. Their unwavering commitment to excellence has not only brought pride to our school but also showcased the remarkable talent and capability of our students on an international stage.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the KCS students, Ruairi O’Daltuin, Calum Walsh, Eoin Browne, Skye Sheedy, Ellie Sheedy, Ronan Humphreys, Mattis Wonder, Liam Diggin, Farzad Khan, Lily Cahill and PJ Crowe stepped up as leaders of their teams who showcased their ingenuity, resilience, and teamwork, as well as to the dedicated mentors, Ms. Hay, Mr. Farren, and Mr. Leahy, whose guidance and support have been invaluable in nurturing and shaping the team's success.

Kinsale Community School's Stellar Performance at VEX World Championships

As we conclude the 23/24 #RoadtoVEXWorlds journey, we are thrilled to announce the exceptional performance of our VRC teams, Kinsale 1 and Kinsale 2, represented by teams 81785A and 81785B respectively, at the esteemed VEX World Championships.

Both teams showcased exemplary skills and determination at the VEX Ireland Nationals, paving their way to the global stage with remarkable achievements.

  • Kinsale 1: Not only were they Tournament Finalists, but they also clinched the prestigious Excellence Award, a testament to their overall excellence in all aspects of robotics, including design, programming, and teamwork.

  • Kinsale 2: This team emerged as both Robot Skills and Tournament Champions, demonstrating unparalleled expertise, strategy, and execution in their robotic endeavours.

As we celebrate these remarkable accomplishments, we extend our sincere appreciation to all those who have supported and encouraged our VEX teams throughout their journey, including parents, teachers, mentors, and sponsors.
