KCS Hosts VEX Regional Robotics Tournament
Kinsale Community School was proud to host the Kinsale VRC VEX Regional at Sáile on December 12th. This exciting event was a student-led showcase of innovation, teamwork, and STEM excellence, highlighting the incredible talent and dedication of students both in our school and across the region.
The day featured a thrilling VEX IQ competition, where national schools from the area demonstrated their impressive skills, creativity, and teamwork in robotics. It was inspiring to see our own Kinsale Community School students play an active role, mentoring the next generation of robotics stars and fostering a love for STEM among younger students.
The tournament was a true testament to student leadership, as many of our former VEX Robotics students took on key roles, including scorekeeping and managing the event. They shared how much they enjoyed running the competition—almost as much as participating in it last year! Their efforts ensured the day ran smoothly and created an authentic, hands-on learning experience for all involved.
Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with innovation, collaboration, and excitement. We are incredibly proud of all the students who contributed to the success of the event and look forward to seeing even more STEM achievements in the future!
