Breast Cancer Ireland Visit

On Monday, 4th November, Transition Year students at Kinsale Community School had the privilege of welcoming Juliette O’Connell from Breast Cancer Ireland. Juliette delivered an inspiring and informative talk to the TY girls about breast cancer awareness, emphasizing the importance of early detection, self-examinations, and understanding risk factors.

Throughout the session, Juliette shared valuable insights into the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, practical tips for self-checks, and the latest advancements in research. Her personal approach and openness created a supportive atmosphere, encouraging students to take charge of their health. The talk not only educated the students but also fostered a sense of empowerment among the girls.

We thank Juliette and Breast Cancer Ireland for their impactful visit and for helping to raise awareness on such an important issue.
