KCS Students Qualify for Bebras Computing Challenge National Final on Computational Thinking

We are thrilled to announce that Ciaran Moloney, Ronan Hawkins, Eimear Hayes, Christian McCarthy, Conor O’Leary, Fionn Lichtsinn Doyle and Thomas Brennan have qualified for the prestigious Bebras Computing Challenge National Final on Computational Thinking. This is a tremendous achievement, and we are immensely proud of our students!

The Bebras Computing Challenge is a global initiative that aims to introduce computational thinking to students through interactive online tasks. With participation from over 60 countries worldwide, this challenge offers students the opportunity to solve complex problems without prior knowledge of computational thinking or information and communication technology.

Our students will be traveling to Maynooth University on May 6th, 2023, to participate in the Bebras Ireland 2023 finals. We wish them the best of luck and have no doubt that they will represent our school with distinction!

We would like to acknowledge and thank the Irish Computer Society, Science Foundation Ireland, and Maynooth University for their support in funding and organising this challenge. It is through their efforts that students across the country have the opportunity to participate in this fantastic event and discover their passion for computing.
