Budding Entrepreneurs: KCS Students Take Their Skills from Classroom to Marketplace

Jake Grace and Rory Wilson, two talented young entrepreneurs, successfully launched their mini-company, Sweet and Sour, at the KCS Christmas Market last December. Since then, they have opened their business on multiple occasions throughout the academic year, delighting customers with their delicious treats.

Their mini-company has been fortunate to receive the generous support and sponsorship of SuperValu Kinsale. Additionally, Ms. Harrington has provided invaluable guidance during mini-company classes, and their external mentor, Rachel Hurley of SuperValu Kinsale, has also been instrumental in their success.

As a result of their dedication and hard work, Sweet and Sour has become a remarkable Transition Year experience for Jake and Rory. They have learned valuable skills and knowledge about running a business while having fun at the same time. Furthermore, they have also earned 'a little' money, making their venture even more fulfilling.

Sweet and Sour is an excellent example of the entrepreneurial spirit and talent that exists among students at KCS. Jake and Rory are a shining example of what can be accomplished with hard work, dedication, and a passion for business. Congratulations to them on their success!
