KCS KEEPING IT GREEN

In the morning of the 23rd of February our Green Schools Committee had a visit from David Macilwraith, Environmental Officer with Cork County Council, which will go on to decide whether Kinsale Community School will be awarded their water flag or not. 

Ms Fitzpatrick and 10 passionate advocates for sustainability shared their individual climate actions and the wide variety of ongoing sustainable actions in the school. After this the committee were asked a series of questions, all of which they answered confidently and knowledgeably. Mr. Macilwraith was very impressed with the great work that is taking place in the school. So, a big well done to all the Green Schools’ members who represented the school admirably and to the whole school community for their continued efforts.
