Kcs Grindschool is now open for business!

Over the last few weeks we have been slowly extending our opening hours to include all breaks and lunchtimes.

An initiative to support our Rang Rita students with work experience, the Grindschool coffee van will be a valuable asset to our school in terms of inclusion, as all our Ty's will get the opportunity to work together and be barista trained.

It is also a not- for- profit endeavour, as all money made will go back into the school, with a view over time to cover the cost of our Rang Realta Programme.

The coffee van area has been furnished with picnic tables bought from Down Syndrome Ireland and is a place where staff or students can relax and enjoy the ambient music being piped over the speakers from our own podcast studio!

A huge thank you to Mr.McCarthy for supporting our sometimes unusual ideas! And a massive thank you to our caretakers Brendan and Owen for putting the space together.

Currently serving hot chocolate and coffee, healthy snacks to come, watch this space!
