Green Schools Water Ambassador Programme Awards 2022

Lilian Gleave was awarded Green Schools Southern Region Water Ambassador Award on Tuesday, 10th of May in Dublin. She received this award for her outstanding report on the work herself and the Green Schools Committee have carried out this year. She travelled to Dublin in the early hours of Tuesday morning with her parents and Ms. Fitzpatrick.

She delivered an outstanding speech reminding us that "alone we are but a drop but together, we are the ocean and can make a difference". She also thanked her teachers, Ms. Fitzpatrick and Ms. O’Shea for all the work they have done with the Green Schools Committee this year. She explained how this programme gave her a feeling of empowerment and she spoke about how the Green Schools gave her confidence to speak about what she is passionate about in front of hundreds of people. She emphasised the point that the Water Ambassador Programme showed her how powerful young people are and how young people have a voice and can make a significant difference!

Well done to Lilian and also to Momo Sheedy, Lucy McCarthy, Sophie Peare and Chloe Carroll who received certificates for their work as water ambassadors.
