PsychSlam Competition – 2nd Place!
The KCS Transition Year organized a PsychSlam team to compete in this year’s PsychSlam, which is an annual competition that involves students from schools across Munster competing in a Psychology Research Project, run by the Applied Psychology Department in University College Cork.
The students choose a topic relating to Psychology and create a presentation on it, including a PowerPoint, skits, and a lot of research. The aim is to develop research skills, practice presentation skills and have a lot of fun.
The KCS team went to UCC on Tuesday, the 26th of April and presented to judges and three other schools in the first heat of the competition. They then qualified in the top five finalist and competed again in the finals. We are so proud to say that the KCS Team won 2nd place!
The team worked incredibly hard over the last number of weeks, and even though only six students represented the school on the day, there were a number of students working hard in the background to help with his incredible achievement.
