Michael Collins History Trip

To finish off a very exciting term, Senior History students from fifth and sixth year went on a trip to visit significant sites associated with General Michael Collins on Monday April 4th.

After a visit to the Michael Collins Centre in Timoleague, students visited Woodfield where Collins was born and raised, Clonakilty, and Beal na Blath where Collins was killed 100 years ago.

Tim Crowley of the Michael Collins Centre was our guide for the day. Students enjoyed interesting presentations and Irish History being brought to life.

Thanks to Mr. Diarmuid O'Donovan, Ms Maria Kennedy, and Ms Laura Ann Dunne for organising and accompanying students.
