KCS Geography Week

Students at Kinsale Community School participated in a range of activates to celebrate Geography Awareness Week 2022. The aim of Geography Awareness Week is to raise awareness about the importance of Geography as a subject and how it involves much more than just studying specific areas on the map, it is truly everything around us! Additionally, it empowers students to interpret the world around them, explore current geographical events around the world and the implications of these events.

Students had the opportunity to get involved in a range of activities as part of Geography Week including photography competitions, daily intercom riddles were enjoyed by the whole school community, students enjoyed a geography table quiz and all first-year students participated in creating a human version of a meandering river. A wonderful week was had by all, we are looking forward to next year’s Geo-Week already!
