Visit to the National Maritime College of Ireland

On Tuesday, 8th of November all TY students and interested senior cycle students got to travel to the National Maritime College of Ireland, part of Munster's Technological University, in Ringaskiddy for their open day.

The college offers students the opportunity to study marine engineering, marine electrotechnology or nautical science - to drive the big ships. There are fantastic employment opportunities with excellent salaries for graduates. Students got to explore the different areas of the college including interactive areas like a bridge simulator.

This is the first of the college open days that the TY students will get to visit during this year as well as learning about their options during careers classes.
