KCS Crowned Senior C Munster Champions

The senior ladies football team created history on Thursday 30th January when they beat Mercy Mounthawk (Tralee) to be crowned Senior C Munster Champions. This is the first time a ladies football team have attained Munster glory. It was a thrilling game of football and not one for the faint hearted. KCS were ahead by the minimum at half time and the lead exchanged hands several times during a pulsating second half. Our girls showed incredible resilience and their never say die attitude resulted in a last minute goal which put us two points ahead. From the resultant kick out, the final whistle was blown and history had been made. The victory capped a perfect week for some of our girls who on Tuesday qualified for the All Ireland Basketball final. Well done to all involved and thanks to our supporters and parents for their vocal support.
