Hurling Update
KCS under 16.5 hurlers started their Munster campaign against Ballincollig CS on Monday 23/9 in Ballinhassig. While the weather conditions were very tough for hurling, we showed tremendous skill and some excellent team play from the outset of the match. Throughout the first half we proved too strong for Ballincollig with Eoin O'Donovan, Daniel O'Donovan and Cian Quinn getting some great scores. When Ballincollig did apply some pressure to our backs, Padraig Dorney and Colin Roche defended very well and set up a platform for our attack. With KCS fully in control of the game in the second half, it was a brilliant opportunity to give every player some game time and continued to keep Ballincollig under pressure throughout the match. It was also excellent to see such big numbers involved with 30 players togged out for the game. We now move onto the next round where we will play Blackwater Community School, Lismore in the coming weeks.
