Sports Update

 1st Year Soccer:

Hard luck to the first year boys soccer team who were defeated in the Munster Cup. The team had a great start to the game with early chances but the keeper made some great saves. The team pushed for a goal but were caught on the counter attack and found themselves one goal down. Great play down the left hand side saw Jamie O’ Sullivan one on one with his defender  which led to a penalty kick for KCS. Max Lee stepped up and leveled the game just before half time.

In the second half the lads continued to play very well, playing some great football and still creating chances however two quick goals conceded made it very difficult for the team to come back and KCS were knocked out of the cup.

All squad members played a vital role during the game and we now look forward to the Cork Cup in the coming weeks.

 1st Year Boys Basketball:

1st Years played the county semi final against Bantry on Friday 15th of March. All the lads put in a great performance but unfortunately lost out in the end. It was a super achievement for the boys to get to this stage of the competition as the majority of the team were first introduced to basketball this year. They have improved greatly and will hopefully keep going from strength to strength.
