Senior Ladies Football Champions

Monday 21st May saw the Senior Ladies Football team crowned Senior B County Champions in a very competitive outing against Colaistean Phiarsaigh (Glanmire) in Douglas GAA pitch. KCS got off to a blistering start and were comfortably ahead by 11 points at half time due to some superb defending and wonderful play resulting in some fine scores. However, Colaistean Phiarsaigh came back fighting in the second half and really put KCS to the test. A couple of heroic saves by Ellen Maguire in goal kept KCS on track and with the entire team working tirelessly, KCS managed to withstand the pressure and emerge victorious on a score of 7-9 to 4-7. It was a fantastic game of football which enthralled all those watching. Well done girls. You all made your teachers Ms. O’ Brien and Ms.Dullea extremely proud as well as your school and yourselves, in what is a first ever Senior B title.
