Safer Internet Day

This year second year students at KCS had the opportunity to undertake two short courses- Digital Media Literacy with Ms Brosnan and Coding with Mr Corcoran. 

As part of Safer Internet Day, Ms Brosnan’s second year Digital Media Literacy Class took part in a class poster competition / awareness campaign on the topic of Internet Safety.  This term students in the class learned about a variety of topics including digital technologies, ethical & legal issues around downloading, rights & responsibilities online and online safety. 

The theme of the internet safety awareness campaign was to highlight the dangers when being online and how to deal with potentially harmful situations.  The posters were displayed outside the computer room on the D corridor to raise awareness among students in KCS.  Congratulations to Aoife (1st place) and runners up Jake, Sean and Paul.  Students were delighted with their Easter Eggs!!
