Coiste Gaelbhratach

The Coiste Gaelbhratach were very busy for Seachtain na Gaeilge 2018 organising both school and community wide events. 

For First Years they held a Comórtas Postaeir with winners from each class.  These are being displayed on the C Corridor.  Second Years were invited to a Tráth na gCeist on March 8th that they thoroughly enjoyed and were very well behaved throughout.  Transition Years along with some Leaving Certificate students had a great time at a Ceilí on the 16th of March on the G Corridor.  The Coiste were delighted that Ms Kearney and Ms Hunt along with the Trad Group played for this fantastic event.  Also huge thanks to Ms Brennan for teaching the dances prior to the event.  Fifth Years are involved in a Comórtas Amhránaíochta.  Ms C Sheehan and Ms Kearney are judging this event. 

The Coiste with the help of their teachers Ms N Sheehan and Ms Archer also organised a Maidin Caife on the 14th of March in the Temperance Hall in Kinsale.  This was with the view to encourage locals to come in and have a comhrá and a cupán caife nó tae.   This along with a Díolachán Cácaí and the Lá Glas raised €450 for Kinsale Youth Support Services. 

The Coiste are planning some other events before the end of the school year.  They are a great team and we are very proud of them.
