U14 Hurling Success

On Friday the 10th of March, our 1st Year boys played their first competitive match against Buttevant in Buttevant. Buttevant started better with 2 points in quick succession, but Kinsale eventually settled down to score the next 4 points in a row with Will Barrett, Liam O' Regan and Fionn O’Shea amongst the scorers. More scores from Liam and a point from Daire O' Leary made it 6 points to 4 in favour of Kinsale.

The second half started badly for Kinsale as Buttevant started well and got the first score of the half with a goal and a point. Kinsale didn't drop their heads and kept working hard.  This work was rewarded with 2 goals from Fionn O’Shea and Daire O' Leary and points from Tadgh Cummins, Liam O' Regan and Evan Daly. The backs worked very hard so that Buttevant wouldn't score again, with TJ Daly and Alan Nagel putting in great performances. The game was put to bed when Tadgh Cummins rocketed the ball into the back of the net.

Final score Kinsale 3-10 Buttevant 1-06. Well done lads.
