Munster PPS B U17 Hurling

Kinsale Community School U17 hurlers played against John the Baptist of Hospital, Limerick on Friday 20th in Bishopstown. It was a brilliant game between 2 great sides. KCS started strong with an Eoghan O’Shea shot dropping just outside the box leaving a a great opportunity for David Forde to smack the net and that’s what he did. Eoghan O’Shea got a pass off Ronan Sheehan and straight over the shoulder on the 45 he split the posts. Oscar Ryan with a savage race with his man and won the ball. Dean Cosgrave with a pop pass to Eoghan O’Shea and straight over the bar. David Forde won a tricky ball took on his man and blasted it over. A miscued first touch from Gavin O Donovan left a ball break for Eoghan O’Shea and he made no mistake on rattling the net. Dean Cosgrave with a clean pass to David Forde but he got surrounded with a breaking ball for Leo Hennessy left him an open goal and couldn’t miss and he didn’t. Leo Hennessy was excellent in Midfield, making a super pass to Liam O'Regan and he put it straight over.

In the second half, Eoghan O’Shea continued to perform and scored from the 65 on his bad side over the shoulder. The full back line were excellent in turning over position and clearing the danger. David Forde took a hard hit to win a free for Eoghan O’Shea. John Quinn with a super strike over on the sideline over the bar. David Forde with a super score on the 13 yard line out on the corner. Conor Deasy with a block on the 13 to stop a goal. Darragh Winters wins the opposition pick out and makes a darting run down the side line and gave a lovely pass to Ronan Sheehan with a crucial point. In the last play of the game, Cillian Fitzpatrick secured the win, flicking a high ball into the back of the net. Man of the match was awarded to corner back Donncha Deasy, for his relentless hard work and selfless play off the ball.
