KCS cheers on students competing in National Bebras Computational Thinking Finals

Kinsale Community School extends its heartfelt best wishes to three outstanding second-year students: Evan McGrath, Liam Riordon, and Oscar Green. These talented students have earned their spots in the National Finals and will showcase their computational thinking prowess at Maynooth University on April 20th, 2024, just in time for Computer Science Week next week.

The Bebras Computing Challenge is a globally recognized initiative, engaging participants across more than 60 countries each year. This challenge offers stimulating online tasks designed to introduce and develop computational thinking skills. In Ireland, the initiative receives strong support from esteemed organisations like the Irish Computer Society, Science Foundation Ireland, and Maynooth University.

Hosting the National Finals during Computer Science Week adds an extra layer of excitement and relevance to the event. It underscores the importance of computational thinking and computer science education, aligning perfectly with the school's commitment to inspiring students in these fields.
