On May 2, 2024, students from across Ireland gathered at the National Indoor Arena in Sport Ireland to participate in PExpo, a prestigious national competition for secondary school students. The event, which focuses on projects related to sport, health, and physical fitness, saw impressive displays of talent and innovation.

Our students excelled at the competition, bringing home three national awards.

Ronan Moloney, a 2nd Year student, won the overall award for Junior Wellbeing Physical, Mental, and Social. His project was titled ‘The effect of plyometrics on the physical and mental wellbeing of a juvenille sports team’.

Another group of 2nd Year students, Aoife Ferguson, Aisling Lynch, and Claire Linehan, won the overall award for Junior Power of Sport, Cultural, and Inclusion for their project titled ‘An Investigation into why women’s sport takes runner up place in the eyes of spectators compared to men’s sport’.

In the Senior category, 4th Year students Alison Dennehy and Catherine Murphy clinched the overall award for Senior Wellbeing Physical, Mental, and Social with their project titled ‘Impact of Family Support on Adolescent Success in Sport’’.
