We are absolutely thrilled to congratulate our Senior Ladies Football Team on their fantastic victory in the Munster Senior C Plate Final, overcoming Coláiste Íde agus Iosef of Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick! The final was played on the 5G pitch in an icy-cold Banteer. The final score was a nail-biting 3:11 to 3:10, which truly showcased the intense and closely contested nature of the game.

Throughout the match, both teams had their moments of brilliance, with each side displaying great skill and determination. Coláiste Íde agus Iosef fought valiantly and managed to score a last-minute goal, but our girls showed their resilience and composure by charging down the field to score the winning goal, securing the well-deserved victory after having two more goals disallowed previously.

A special mention goes to our captain, Aoife Cottrell, who represented the team with such pride in her final game for KCS. Aoife’s leadership and dedication was superb, and her heartfelt speech after the game was a fitting tribute to the team.
