Exciting Launch Day for Our TY Credit Union Team
Last Friday, October 18th, our Transition Year (TY) Credit Union team had an incredibly busy and rewarding launch day. After weeks of hard work and dedication, the team was excited to showcase their efforts, which were guided by Georgie from First South Credit Union.
The day began with a special visit from Minister for Finance Jack Chambers, who took the time to meet with our students. This was a fantastic opportunity for the team to gain insights from a prominent figure in the financial world and discuss the importance of financial literacy among young people.
Throughout the day, our TY students assisted their peers in opening current accounts with the credit union. Their enthusiasm and knowledge made the process smooth and enjoyable for everyone involved. It was heartening to see our students not only take on leadership roles but also actively engage with their fellow students about managing finances responsibly.
We are incredibly proud of our TY Credit Union team and their commitment to this initiative. Their hard work has set the foundation for a successful year ahead, and we wish them every success as they continue to support their classmates in their financial journeys.
