Congratulations to our 2023 LCA graduates who all received Distinctions in their Leaving Cert results. We wish them every success as they begin Apprenticeships and Further Education courses in Animation, Networks & Cybersecurity, Early Learning & Care and Film, TV and Video Production.   

 LCA, or Leaving Certificate Applied, is a two-year Leaving Certificate Programme aimed at preparing young people for adult and working life. There is more emphasis on Continuous Based Assessment in LCA.  

According to Louise McCarthy, Former LCA student who was interviewed by the Echo, “LCA is often a better fit for students who prefer a more hands on approach centered in real-life scenarios to learn material. Many apprenticeships, PLCs, employers and other courses accept and embrace the LCA qualification.
