Students at Kinsale Community School once again had their thinking caps on for this year's BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition which will be held this week in the RDS from the 11th-14th January. KCS has qualified with a total of 16 projects for the exhibition, which includes a total of 30 students who will be representing the school. This reflects the great work done by all the students that qualified with their projects for the exhibition and the special place that the BTYSE holds in the school.
Kinsale Community School is very proud of its distinguished record in the BT Young Scientist Competition, having won the overall competition 3 times - making the secondary school Ireland's most successful school in the competition. Kinsale Community School attributes this success strongly on the emphasis it put on science as well as its excellent facilities.
The event, which has shone a spotlight on STEM research and innovation for almost 60 years, returns as an in-person event for the first time in three years. The 2021 and 2022 exhibitions were held virtually due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
Students entered project from across four categories including, technology; social and behavioural science; biological and ecological science; or chemical, physical and mathematical science.
Kinsale Community School wishes best of luck to all their students, we are so proud of your achievement!
