Following the Easter break we welcomed two teachers from I.E.S. ‘El Valle’, near Granada, Spain. Gemma and Esther visited a variety of different lessons including Computer Science, History, Religion as well as their specific subject areas of Languages and Business. They were very impressed with the range of fantastic facilities we are so lucky to have in Kinsale CS. They also spent some time in our ASD unit and were amazed at the facilities our school has to offer and how inclusive our school community is. Like we have done this year, they are hoping to build a greenhouse on their campus where they can grow vegetables etc. that will be used in cooking classes. It was very interesting to learn how our teaching practices are so similar despite being hundreds of miles apart. As part of their visit, they explored Kinsale and thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Charles fort in particular.
