Congratulations to the 3 entries from KCS that have qualified to the South Regional Final of Junk Kouture. Only 50 designs were chosen from Munster in total for this extremely competitive competition. Junk Kouture is a national contest which encourages young designers in second level education to create striking couture designs and impressive works of wearable art from everyday junk that would normally find its way into the bin. This competition aims to inspire and ignite passion while at the same time educating people about the importance of recycling and reusing waste.

The three teams are as follows:

· Suit Yourself by Tamara Kruslin, Lauren Farrissey and Fia Linnane

· Past Present Dreams by Kali Woodcock and Zoe McLaughlin

· Fairytales by Azra Dervish, Orla Rice and Lily O Leary
