Féilte Scoile 2022

Féilte Scoile is Kinsale Community School’s unique yearly teaching initiative which pioneers sharing educational practices with each other. Our eighth Féilte Scoile took place on 5th October 2022.

The theme of this year’s Féilte Scoile was entitled ’’ Leadership for All, Inclusion & Student Voice’’. Fourteen staff members, supported by students of our school delivered six informative and inspiring workshops which showcased many of the innovative approaches to inclusive education within our school. All staff were in attendance, along with members of the board of management including Chairperson, Sr Rita Twomey. The student council was represented at the event by Caoimhe McGuinness Head Girl, and Daniel Patton, Head Boy.

This year’s event continues in our schools tradition of supporting teachers to improve their practice in order to enhance the experience of our students. The feedback from the workshops was resoundingly positive. Principal Fergal McCarthy stated ‘‘Today was an excellent showcase of all that is special about our school. The presentations were quite simply brilliant and represented a dynamic forward thinking staff.’’
