Junior Cycle Business studies aims to stimulate students’ interest in the business environment and how they interact with it. It develops skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours that allow them to make informed and responsible decisions with all of the resources available to them, ensuring their and society’s well-being, while becoming more self-aware as learners.

Students study a variety of topics such as Personal Finance, Enterprise and the Economy.  During lockdown Ms Brosnan’s 1A10 Business Class studied the topic of Financial Lifecycles.  Students learned how to construct a personal financial life cycle; identify the needs and wants at different stages of a life cycle; recognise sources of finance at each stage of the life cycle and understand the importance of financial planning at various stages of life.
