TY Mini Company Christmas Market
On Friday 17th December the outdoor heated atrium was filled with festive cheer as TY students set up their Christmas market stalls as part of their Enterprise studies with Ms Brosnan and Mr McGrath.
The ever popular Student Enterprise programme enables students to do everything an entrepreneur would experience in real life including coming up with a business idea, marketing a product, selling and preparing a business plan.
After a busy few months, students had the opportunity to sell and deliver many pre-ordered products just in time for Christmas. A large variety of products were on offer including hand-made Horse Shoe Christmas decorations, hand-made wooden snowmen and reindeer decorations, hand-made scented candles, Christmas cards, sweet bundles, pop corn, hot chocolate reindeer and DIY cookie mix jars to name but a few. It was a huge success with many companies selling out in under an hour!
Thank you to our caretakers Brendan Barry and Eoin Wright and our TY Covid Compliance Marshals for their assistance in setting up the market area and ensuring it was managed safely. Strict covid safety guidelines were enforced to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.
Well done to all the students involved and we look forward to seeing even more innovative ideas next term!
