Congratulations to Oisin Coyle and Rosie Deasy on competing in the quarter finals of the UCC Philosoph Munster School Debate on Monday the 15th October. The debate was held in Brookfield Health and Science building on the UCC Campus. Oisin and Rosie opposed the motion ‘Smokers Should be Denied State Health Care’. The heated debate was thoroughly enjoyable with both sides arguing their incredibly interesting points. After a lengthy deliberation the motion was opposed. Both students performed impeccably. Oisin was selected by the adjudicator to progress onto the next round. Congratulations to Oision and Rosie, with continued success as Oisin will now proceed to the next round in the coming weeks.
