As part of Construction safety week Edward Kelly came to talk to our 5th and 6th year Construction Studies classes with regard to safety on a building site. Edward is a  health and safety officer with the company C Field Construction which have offices based in Cork city and England. He went through all aspects of safety such as Personal protective equipment and  scaffolding. At the end of his talk he gave the students a scenario on a building site and then asked them to list the safety signs related to that activity. This educational presentation is sure to be of huge benefit to our pupils as they undertake their Leaving Certificate Construction Studies exam in the near future. Shown in the pictures below are the pupils who came out with top marks which were presented by our principal Fergal McCarthy.
