Gaelbhratach Award for KCS
Bhí Ceiliúradh Mór i bPobal Scoil Chionn tSáile ar an 17ú Eanáir nuair a thug Daithí Ó Sé cuairt ar an scoil. D’ardaigh sé Gaelbhratch a bronnadh ar an scoil le déanaí. Is onóir mór é seo don scoil mar d’oibrigh an scoil go dian ionas go bhfaighidís an Bratach seo. Tugtar Gael Bhratach do scoileanna a dhéanann tréan iarracht an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn i saol na scoile. Is feachtas é seo a ritheann Forás na Gaeilge le cabhair ó Gael Linn. Tá Scoil Phobail Cinn tSaile an-bhrodúil as na himeachtaí go léir a rinne said a chruthaigh atmaisféar Gaelach sa scoil.
TV presenter and Gaelgóir Daithí Ó Sé visited Kinsale Community School (KCS) on 17 Jan 2018. He came to KCS to raise the Gaelbhratach which was awarded to the school recently. The flag is awarded to schools who take part in a ‘Gaelbhratach Campaign’ which is sponsored by Foras na Gaeilge and Gael Linn. This campaign aims to promote Irish as a Living Language in the school community. Kinsale Community School rose to the challenge and Daithí Ó Sé’s presence to raise the flag was the culmination of a year of hard work by Irish teachers and students in the school.
